It has exceeded all growth expectations from when first planted in 1992. It’s readily accepted edible midsized shoots harvesting over a ten week. A popular upright tight clumping species favoured by landscapers and permaculture growers. It’s the most versatile and popular productive windbreak, avenue or feature plant in South East Qld. Planted extensively for shoot production in frost prone and soggy areas where it is not possible to grow running species.
